SkyAmp Development Information
SkyAmp is coded in MS Visual Basic 6.0. It makes use of an MS Access database to record information about the songs, lists,
categories and configurations. It uses the SimpleID3 library
to read the ID3 tags from MP3 files.
Currently, SkyAmp only creates playlists, but the following features are planned (in no particular order):
- Calling WinAmp interactively to play the selected songs. As long as SkyAmp is running, WinAmp will play the songs.
- Support for ShoutCast: create your own radio station with your own music mix, without having to manually select the
songs!
- Support for the MusicBrainz song identifier, to identify untagged MP3-files
by their accoustic fingerprint.
